DPI’s work is organised around a few connected priorities. They share one method: persons with disabilities, through their own organisations, taking part directly in the decisions that affect their lives.
- Human Rights — the CRPD as the foundation for law, policy and practice.
- Advocacy — representing persons with disabilities in UN and regional processes.
- Programmes — leadership training and strengthening organisations of persons with disabilities.
- Disability & Development — inclusion in the SDGs and in development cooperation.
- The CRPD — ratification, implementation and monitoring.
