DPI is governed by its Constitution and Bylaws, supplemented by rules and procedures adopted by the World Council. These documents set out the objects of the organisation, the categories of membership, the six regional development blocks, and the powers of the World Assembly, the World Council and the Executive.
The governing documents are available in English, French and Spanish. Selected World Council minutes and statements are also part of the public record.
