DPI’s Arab region membership brings together national coalitions and organisations of persons with disabilities across the Middle East and North Africa. DPI’s 9th World Assembly was hosted in Cairo, Egypt, in March 2016 in partnership with the Arab Organization of Persons with Disabilities (AOPD), producing the Cairo Declaration.
Regional priorities include CRPD implementation, the situation of refugees and displaced persons with disabilities, and the participation of persons with disabilities in reconstruction and development.
